Fundraising for Fun & Profit This class will give you the basics on the types of fundraisers, how to approach perspective organizations, and how to successfully run your event. Carl Hill $10

Wax Appliqués Students will be taught how to affix wax appliqués to pillars candles. Flat, (on square candle), & wrap around, ( on round pillar), technique will be shown. Marie Kauffman $15/$5
Grubby Jars This popular jar combine a container candle, topped off with a grubby finish, embellished with wax embeds, and decorated with homespun. Marie Kauffman $15/$7.50
Got Milk!

These candles make a great addition to any country kitchen. Can be made from natural waxes or paraffin. Extra bottles and holders will be available for purchase. Marie Kauffman $20/$5
Grubby Pillars Learn to make these popular Grubby Pillar candles using the "Whipped Wax" technique. Marie Kauffman

Wooden Wick Roundtable A roundtable discussion on the new and increasing popular Wooden Wicks. Marie Kauffman FREE
Beeswax Luminary Participants will make a beeswax shell, decorate it 360 degrees with dried flowers and seal it with paraffin. A safe, plastic votive holder will be provided with your luminary, along with a box (no lid) for travel home. Sandy Lindhout $20
Molded Beeswax Candles Students will pour two candles using 100% beeswax.   Molds NOT included. We will pour an old-fashioned skep candle and decorate with a life-size honey bee. The second candle could be one of a variety of styles: larger Cogan Skep, a pear, apple, turkey, Santa, or taper candles. First come, first served on the second choice candle because of limited number of molds. Sandy Lindhout $15
Making & Marketing Soap, Body Butters, & Scrubs In this class you will get to make a soap product and learn how to quickly and easily add a soap line to your candle business and see how easy it is to market and sell. You will also receive recipes and pictures for all products. Anna Roudybush $20/$10
Wax Dipped Flowers You will not want to miss this class.  This is one of the easiest to learn and you will not believe how easy they sell and what a profit margin! You will get to make a beautiful arrangement to take home with you plus pictures of a lot of variations for this product along with tips on how to market this product. Anna Roudybush $15/$7.50
Product Photography A quick and easy primer on taking quality product photos without spending a lot of money or time. Carl Hill FREE
Muffin Mold Mold Making Demo This demo class will include a detailed walkthrough on how to make a simple mold suitable for candles or soaps. Learn which materials work best for your needs and how to avoid common (and expensive) problems.   Carl Hill $15
Sand Candles Learn the basics of sand candles using improved techniques!  Noreen Hill  $20
"Simple" Water Fantasy Candles Learn how to make these beautiful and delicate candles using a simplified production technique.  Noreen Hill $10/$5
Gourmet Wine Candles A hands on project.  The candle is made of gel to look more realistic. Besides making the candle, some sources will be given along with an opportunity to purchase the mini grape bunches. Sonia Fisher $12/$5
How To Package Gift Baskets Participants can create a candle basket with one or more the candles you made at the convention.  It will include tips on wrapping your candle basket along with sources of suppliers, some ribbon techniques, and some ideal on accessorizing your baskets. Sonia Fisher $20

Sculptured Flowers Yes, the flowers in this picture are really wax and you will learn how to make a colorful spring bouquet of wax daffodils. Each participant will receive a small vase, sheets of wax and a set of instructions. Number of flowers made will depend on time. Diana Furman  $20/$10
Landscape Candles Learn hands on how to make these beautiful layered landscape candles with candle artist Diane Furman. No two will ever come out alike. Diana Furman  $20/$10
Product Picture Cut & Curl Candles A demo class that provides new ideas for your cut & curl candles. Learn how to do picture frame candles, wedding & shower ideas, seasonal theme candles etc. Lots of color pictures given for references. Each student will also be shown uses and techniques for square, oval and round cut & curl candles. Cindy Novak $25/FREE
Product Picture Outdoor Candles Creative ideas to help with your outdoor entertaining and help with pest control. Different items will be displayed along with instructions on how to make them. Each student will make at least one item to take home. Deborah Parks $25/$12.50
Product Picture Aromatherapy Learn about Phytotherapy, Aromatherapy, and Aromachology and their uses around the house. Take a look at how some popular herbs are able to help with common problems. Includes a set of notes and instructions to make the products that are explained in class. Each student will make at least one product to take home. Deborah Parks $20
Vintage Molds A "Show & Tell" on vintage silicone molds. Also provided are tips for taking care of your molds. Jim & Jan Post

Carved Rose Tapers Paul will demonstrate how to carve and assemble Rose Taper Candles. Students will assemble their own candle using a carved taper (hand carved & provided by Paul) and beeswax cut-outs. Master Chandler

- range of wicks available and what is done to them before you get them
- how to test a candle for wick size
- burn results (real "in the wax")
- why different wicks are needed for different waxes (beeswax - gel - soya)
- tabs etc.
- the pros and cons of mechanical wick insertion
