About Our Molds Our molds are designed by Candle Makers with Candle Makers in mind. Each mold is carefully designed and manufactured to maximize productivity and quality. We strive to increase the capacity of our molds while keeping our prices comparable to our competition's smaller capacity molds. See our instructions for tips on how to get most out of your molds. Silicon
Mold Care: Following
these simple guidelines will ensure maximum usability and lifespan of
your new mold: We
recommend cleaning out the mold for the first time (or after prolonged
storage) by filling with unscented “scrap wax”. This will remove
any debris that may have accumulated in the mold. DO
NOT USE THIS SILICONE MOLD WITH FOOD PRODUCTS! -
This product is not FDA approved. Food Grade Silicone is available by
special order. ALWAYS
CAREFULLY STORE MOLDS! -
Improper storage of molds can cause warping. -
Fill molds with non-dyed, unscented wax (do not
de-mold). -
Always store silicone molds in a cool, dry place. -
A sealed plastic bag is recommended for prolonged storage. -
Molds should be kept on flat surface and never stacked.
DO
NOT POUR TEMPERATURES OVER 300 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT! -
Damage to your mold can occur by pouring too hot.
DO
NOT STORE SCENTED WAX IN MOLD -
The scent will transfer to the silicone and can damage the mold.
DO
NOT OVER-SCENT WAX -
Candle Fragrance Oils (FO) are very corrosive. -
Follow FO & Wax manufacturer’s guidelines for
proper usage. -
Some strongly scented FOs are highly corrosive and will
damage your mold. Use with caution.
DO
NOT USE A SILICONE RELEASE AGENT! -
Silicone based mold releases will damage your mold. -
Silicone molds do not generally require a release agent,
however regular use of a non-silicone
mold release will increase the lifespan of the mold. -

Duplication of the molds and/or molds created from

Failure to follow these instructions will void any and
all warrantees expressed or implied. About Our Manufacturing Process We always de-gas our silicone in a vacuum chamber before we pour our molds. Some mold makers claim that this is an unnecessary step and skip it. The problems encountered in silicone that has not been de-gassed can range from air pockets, that can form against the original (causing a flaw in every piece cast/poured), to air being trapped in the walls of mold (causing the mold to weaken and fail with use). It should be noted that EVERY silicone provider's "Technical Data Sheets" recommends de-gassing their products before use. About Our Designs All of our molds are our own creations, come from nature, use work that is in the "public domain", or use work that we have obtained permission to use from the copyright holder. We will not duplicate another's work or violate a copyright. All of our molds and designs are copyrighted and may not be duplicated. |
